- Buyers who purchase contact info: When a buyer pays to unlock vendor contact details, we reveal the vendor's contact name, phone, and email to that specific buyer
- Referral tracking: If you were referred by another vendor, your store name and referral code are visible to your referrer for commission tracking
- Platform administrators: Our admin team can access all vendor data for platform management, support, and compliance purposes
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, government regulation, or legal process
- Platform safety: We may share data to investigate fraud, security violations, or harmful activity on the platform
Contact Info Purchases
A core feature of our marketplace is allowing buyers to purchase vendor contact information. This works as follows:
- When a vendor lists a product, they provide contact name, phone, and email for that product
- Phone numbers and email addresses are automatically stripped from product descriptions and enquiry messages to protect vendor contact info
- Buyers who pay the contact access fee ($10 USDT or as applicable) can view the vendor's contact details for that specific product
- Contact details are revealed only after payment verification — they are never publicly displayed
- We record each contact purchase including the buyer's email and phone (if provided) for dispute resolution and tracking
- Vendors can see how many times their contact info has been purchased, but not the identity of individual buyers unless the buyer contacts them directly
Data Storage & Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:
Encrypted Storage
Passwords are hashed using WordPress's secure hashing. Sensitive data is stored in the WordPress database with appropriate access controls.
Image Protection
Vendor product images are protected with right-click blocking, drag prevention, transparent overlays, and watermark patterns to prevent unauthorized downloads.
Contact Info Stripping
Phone numbers and email addresses are automatically removed from product descriptions, names, tags, and enquiry messages to prevent unauthorized sharing.
Access Controls
Role-based access ensures vendors can only access their own data. Admin access is restricted to authorized personnel with manage_options capability.
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to maintaining industry-standard protections.
Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal cookies and tracking technologies:
- WordPress Session Cookies: Required for authentication, login state, and security (WordPress default cookies — these are essential and cannot be disabled)
- WordPress Nonce Tokens: Used for AJAX security verification to prevent unauthorized actions and CSRF attacks
- Chatbot Session Data: Session identifiers stored temporarily to maintain chatbot conversation continuity
Payment Data (USDT TRC20)
MagicMedia uses USDT (Tether) on the TRC20 network for all payments. Important details:
- We never collect, store, or process credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or traditional financial information
- We store your USDT wallet address for receiving withdrawals — this is a public blockchain address
- We store transaction hashes (TXID) that you provide for payment verification — these are public blockchain transaction identifiers
- We store the admin's USDT wallet address for receiving payments — this is a public address
- All payment records (amounts, timestamps, status) are stored in our database for accounting and dispute resolution
- Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible — we cannot reverse or refund USDT payments that have been confirmed on the blockchain
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services:
- Active Accounts: All account and product data is retained while your vendor account is active
- Deleted Products: When a product is deleted, it is soft-deleted (status changed to "deleted") with a deletion proof timestamp. The record is retained for audit purposes but is no longer publicly visible
- Transaction Records: Payment records, contact purchases, and withdrawal records are retained indefinitely for accounting and legal compliance
- Chat Messages: Chatbot messages are retained for customer support and audit purposes
- Referral Records: Referral and commission data is retained for the lifetime of the referred accounts for accurate commission tracking
- Coupon Usage: Coupon usage records are retained to prevent abuse and enforce usage limits
